We wanted to fish 2 days, and for that we have chartered " Bornfree
2" a 35 feet Allman.
When we heard that this boat was equiped with a fishingchair and not a fixed
fightintchair,
and that on the location there could be a wind of 25 a 35 knots, we changed our
reservation…
We went for " Bornfree" a 48 feet Chris Craft with fixed Lees Miami
fightingchair.
Day 1 - 16 05 2004
First fishingday- 8 hours fishing.
At the morning, I put up my luckbringing biggamehat, said the secret furmula and
went to
the boat hoping for succes.
08H00 : start.
08H20: light strike - nihil.
08H30: strike - 15 min fight - white marlin geland and released.
09H25: dubbel strike - 25 min fight - 1 big bull mahi mahi geland
_1 mahi mahi cow geland.
11H00: Birds - strike and 1 skip jack tuna geland.
15H10: strike: 5 min fight and 1 mahi cow geland.
Day 2 - 17 05 2004
08H00: start.
09H30: strike Dolphinfish - jumps out of water - leader broken before rod in
hand….
10H15: Mahi mahi strike - nihil.
10H45: dubbel strike - 2 blackfin tunas geland.
11H00: Birds - round the boat yellowfin tunas…….
- they do not bite…
- reason: there is also a 10 feet big shark.
12H30: Strike - mahi mahi - hooked up and lost on 2 m from the boat.
15H30: strike and a big Wahoo geland.
Conclusion:
Total- 12 strikes.
Landed: 1 white marlin an released.
1 big bull mahi
2 cows mahi
1 skip jack tuna
2 black fin tunas
1 big wahoo.
New moon was 19 mai.
